  • What are my after care instructions?

Once your new auto glass is installed, there are simple care instructions that you must follow to ensure a good installation and to prevent leaks:

    • Curing time varies depending on weather conditions
    • We strongly recommend that your vehicle be driven as little as possible during the first hour of auto glass replacement
    • Do not slam your vehicle doors with all of the windows closed for approximately 48 hours. The moulding and adhesive are "curing" or drying, and a slammed door might puncture the seal. If the weather permits, keep your door windows rolled down slightly, and close your doors very gently to release pressure. This step is crucial for a successful installation.
    • We often use tape to secure your windshield mouldings while the adhesive cures. Although you may not like the appearance, leave the tape in place for approximately 48 hours following installation.
    • Do not put your vehicle through a high pressure car wash for a minimum of 48 hours. The pressure of the water against a new installation can displace the mouldings. Allow your windshield , adhesive, and mouldings the full 48 hours to become set and dry.

These simple instruction will protect your investment of a new auto glass replacement against immediate problems. Choosing not to follow these simple instructions may void your warranty.
